Hello - I work for a government organization as an inhouse graphics designer.
Over the past few years we have compiled a large collection of photos that need to be archived. Can someone give me some suggestions for archiving software. I would like to archive the photos into categories, aswell as having each photo searchable by keyword.

Also, we have a large amount of graphic files (illustrator, quark, indesign) that need to be organized and archived in catergories. Does anyone have suggestions for a decent file archiving software that can also be searchable by keyword or job number?

Thanks

The only thing that comes to mind is Cumulus, which I believe works on PC and Mac. I've never used it, so I can't vouch for how well it works, but you can check it out at www.canto.com/ (http://www.canto.com/)

Try a Google on Digital Asset Management (also called DAM).
Lots of softs up and coming in the market.
Cumulus is supposed to be a good one but I haven't run hard comparisons yet. We were only window shopping when I did that quest a year or so ago. Just not there yet.

I see you call yourself Creo.
Got one?
Nice scanners. Wish we could afford one.

PD is a grande format digital print dude. His advice/opinions may not apply to the 4color/offset/web world of printing
