And that the ESPN app isn't terrific for getting a good overview of everything.

Yeah FFL '11 is what I have too. Idk... I don't mind it all that much. You can move players from your bench to starting and see the scores and what the other teams are up to.

Your D and your kicker are the most likely to lose points for you. I bet almost all of us will have our D lose points for us. I went in and softened it up a little. The default scoring on D is pretty tough

You can pick up multiple players and set the order you would want to pick them up. That way if somebody snakes you on the guy you want you will still pick somebody up. Just make sure that you're dropping the same player on all. If that makes sense.

Probably shouldn't have a problem grabbing a kicker though.

I believe it will put him into the starting lineup if that's where the player you dropped was. Either way if you're dropping your old kicker to pick up your new one you shouldn't have to do anything with any other players. At most it'll put him on the bench then you'll just have to move him into your starters

If you guys are dropping people in order to pick other people up the easiest way is to go to the "Players" tab. There's a white + in an orange circle next to the available players, select that. It'll take you back to your roster (with a big red warning box @ the top) then you can select who you want to drop in order to pick your player up.

Yeah first week my team sucked. I didn't plan it well. made some moves for week 2. but week two i actually didn't get as much football in that i was planning. we went to a neighbor's house and i ran around after Luke so he wouldn't get into things. They actually have a big screen with "our" team on it and then a smaller TV right next to that with the NFL RedZone with multi-game coverage. so, week 3 I really have to hustle and think things over.

Of my 4 big names, who should be getting me some decent points, only 2 of them are actually performing. The other 2 aren't making any carries and keeping their points in the single digits. Plus a RB who's Out, but is on the "undroppable" list, so he's just taking up space on my bench. So moved some of my mediocre players up in place of the guys that seem to have forgotten how to play. Lets hope they can put something together.

(now you know what's going to happen right? Those guys who I moved to the bench are going to be on fire for week 3 and pull in 25 points each!)

League managers in Custom Leagues can choose if they want to allow owners to be capable of dropping all players or be prevented from dropping designated players. View your League Settings page to see how your league is configured. In Standard Leagues the list is enforced at all times.

Playoff schedule fyi

I changed the playoffs from two weeks per matchup to one and added 2 more playoff teams. The top six teams make the playoffs with the top two receiving first round byes. Playoffs start week 14 of the regular season with the championship game taking place week 16 of the regular season.

You're thinking of the AFL, which merged with the NFL in the late 60's/early 70's. A lot of the teams in the AFC came in that merger. I think they moved the goalpost to the back sometime around that same time as a player safety issue.

I was thinking Canadian Football League because he's spiking it after an apparent touchdown and the endzone behind him looks pretty big. 10 yard endzones in the CFL and I think the fields like 10 yards wider too

Uprights are at the front of the endzone. Our field is 10 yards longer, and it's wider.

So, we have farther to run, but with more space to run, and 3 downs.

However, we don't have to kick as far (because of where the uprights are; kicking from the 40 means you're actually kicking 40 yards) and the clock doesn't keep running between plays like it does in the NFL.

And we have what Audi likes to call the "Pity Point".

I have an empty slot on my bench... but I can't seem to fill it with a waiver or free agent player. If I move someone off my team onto the bench it still won't fill the spot.
How do I get it to fill the empty spot instead of asking me to drop someone to get the guy I want?

I have that too. You only get 16 players on your team, but they provide you with 17 slots...not sure why it leaves you with 1 open spot....

You really don't have an extra spot on your bench you have an empty one. You can only put players from your starting lineup here. Say you're defense is playing on Monday night and you're beating your fantasy opponent by 2 points. You can move your D to the bench to make sure they don't get you negative points, thereby losing you the game. It's a real cheeseball maneuver but I have done it and had it done against me. A couple of years ago there was a real big stink about it

I thought it locked all your players/positions in so that you can't move them...

It locks them 10 minutes (I think it's ten) before the game they're playing in starts. So you can make moves for the afternoon games while the morning ones are being played, Sunday night game while the afternoon ones are being played, etc... If you have players in the previous games though they will be locked and unmovable, so the longer you wait the tougher it gets to make roster changes.

When you (Bladez) played Red (and got beat) she had an empty spot in her starting lineup and all of her players were locked. She had a player on her bench that was without a team, therefore unlocked. She was able to drop him and pick up a player for the Monday night game at the position that she was missing. Players on bye will remain unlocked that entire week.

No. The waiver order is the inverse of the standings. If you look at your team, under your team name it has your waiver order. Right now I'm waiver order 10 because I'm in first (go me!) so if I put a claim on a player everybody else would have to pass him up in order for me to get him. Red's in last and is waiver order 1 so anybody she wanted she could get. That's what made me decide to put this out there. The lower ranked (crappier:p) teams would have first chance at his good players.

The Waivers process Wednesdays @ 3 am eastern time, which we can move back.

The only way you could get one now would be to ask him to trade one of his players for one of yours and have him accept. If I dropped his players on to waivers (that what they call the list of available players) then you would put in a claim for one, in turn dropping one of your players to waivers, and if nobody with a higher waiver order also had a claim on that guy you would get him.

It's how they try to equal things out. The worse the team the better chance they have of getting the better players that are on waivers.

NFL teams not playing that week means some players won't be scoring points...hence the BYE for our league terms.

So in order to avoid not have a ZERO point player that is on a BYE week, you need to swap out to players on teams that are playing.

Kittie, after you move your players, do you click the "Submit" button at the top or bottom of the page?

could be why you make your changes, but it always reverts back. It shows the change in your lineup right away, but it won't commit them until you submit it.

wow, The fun to me is I think I am going to win a match and then as my players collapse into crap on the field I end up losing. (Looking at you sissy-boy Brady...I think I will swap out him for Tebow next week and see how that treats me.)

I had a friend who was going to do a FFL with a group he is in but they never got it off the ground and said he'd like being in my group next year. I am up for it again next year. I take a day to plan my players and watch me lose on Sunday/Monday...it is kind of fun/=, especially with NFL RedZone to watch lots of games.
