i need a little help with making a banner
i have a banner ready to be used, the problem im having is with the linking. i've loaded it in ImageReady and set the URL and everything and when i preview it, it works! the problem comes when i use it as an image in my signature on a forum, it doesnt!
i've tried saving it as a gif and a jpeg, same thing!
its driving me nuts, anyone like to help me through!?

did you upload it to a webspace? tell us your process so we can try to help better.

Are you putting the Url inside tags?

well in imageready, all i do is make a slice, then add the setting 'when roll over slice, go to URL' and i put the URL in the window. when i preview it out of imageready, it works but when i upload it on to photobucket and put it in a signature in a forum, the link doesnt work. not takes you cannot find server or whatever, its like it isnt clickable.

after you upload...you should take that URL and do it something like this...
placeurlofimagehere.com (but don't put any blank spaces anywhere!)

yes, that is what i do. the banner shows but the link doesnt work, its not clickable!
ok, it gives me a html with the image. i guess i have to put the html code with the image right? but how do i do that on a forum?

i asked some dude who knows HTML like fire, pretty simple really!
can i have a link to my blog in the signature or is advertising not allowed on this forum? (like some)

advertising isn't allowed. a link to a blog that costs nothing and doesn't try to rip off forum members shouldn't be a problem. other people do it.
though 'bits of abdul' is kind of gory, in my mind. 'abdul's bits' is funnier. ;)

why doesnt it work?
i click on insert image and in the pop up window thing, instead of asking me to type in the image properties, its the forum index again!
help somebody!

you want to use mcode, not html.

obviously, close the bracket at the end.

i tried that first, and now i've just changed it again!
i cant see it though, its still the same as what it was before! somethings wrong here, this forum change has messed things up a bit.

did you try hosting through www.imageshack.us (http://www.imageshack.us) ?
I've used them repeatedly and have no trouble with their hosting.
