A friend told me about a standalone program (not a plugin) that lets you and/or helps you create hip-hop / rap graphics for postcards and other media.

Does anyone know the name or website of this program?

I have been googling my fingers off with every posdible combination of words and can't seem to find it.

Thanks!

Mike

I don't believe there is any such program.

I think your friend is pulling your leg.

If it's not a joke, then maybe you should ask your friend?

Actually he wasn't kidding, unfortunately he doesn't remember the name. Sorry i forgot to write that in the first post.

It was a standalone program not a plugin for Photoshop. thanks - will keep digging...

Have you tried Adobe Rhythmshop?

All jokes aside, there's no specific program rappers or music artists turn to, to create their CD's and collateral. They come from the same industry we're in (Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Quark Express, etc).

Maybe use some sort of holographic glitter stock and supply headgear with a flickering, rotating LED assembly?

Duuuuude... I'm gonna have to steal the holographic foil sample book from the office and put a new battery in my husband's flashy light-up visor for the next time I get stoned.

Out of curiosity ... what exactly did this program generate? Text, Images?

http://www.aviary.com/ is about the most advanced online editor. You do, however, need the skills to create design and artwork. But at least it is something you can play with.

Is there a time CMYKilla ISN'T relevant?

At one point in time last year, I had the better half of the shop rapping along to this. It was pretty counterproductive. Counterproductive, and oh so epic.

I don't think so that there is a particular program for Hip Hop design purpose, i think you can manually design by your own in Photoshop.

Photoshop is the answer for all the design related stuffs.

And the 48 page catalog I just got... which had each page saved as an individual .jpg file.

I suppose that's slightly better than each page being cut up into 6 or 7 individual jpegs.

wait, wait, wait...

are you guys telling me that I'm NOT supposed to use photoshop for layouts? Really?

Seriously, stop...you might actually make someone think they have to use InDesign or something...whatever that is.

Let's see....

InDesign for a lot of stuff.....InDesign rocks!!!!! Page layout, flyers...I've found you can do a lot of things with is. When in doubt, I start here. LOL

Illustrator for vector stuff...like logos, etc. Logos should NEVER be made in Photoshop, period!!

Photoshop for...image manipulation, digital painting, etc. Color changes, retouches, etc.

Now...someone please correct if I've forgotten something.
