I am currently having designers block. Please provide feedback or suggestions.

1. http://www.code77.com/beta/client_thedevoeteam/layout.html - having problems with the logo.

2. http://www.code77.com/beta/client_newedition/main.html - client alredy approved the layout... but what do you think. i think it needs more colors... also, the intro is cheesy so dont mind that... /emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

1. I don't mind the logo. The only things I'm thinking are that the font for DEVOE is kind of boring and the word 'team' gets a little lost, but is also not that important, so it's no big deal. Overall, it's pretty nice.

2. I think the site is dope! Well done! I don't even think you necessarily even need more colors. The metallic scheme you got going is pretty eye-pleasing. I'm extremely impressed, you've got skills!

both look really good! its obvious that you are very skilled!
1. Great logo and Great Site, really!
the only reason i believe you think that the logo isn't good enough is cause the logo may look a little too 'elegant' for the site. but the logo is very good, maybe just for the website you could spruce it up some (shadows, more depth, etc.)
2. very very impressive! great job. i think i agree with you about color. maybe just one accent color in a couple places (maybe some sort of faint glow around the logo), orange or light blue would look nice.

I can't see anything wrong with that logo either in the head of the image or in the body. It looks good to me. I suppose if you wanted to you could try losing the two 'T' letters and build the name into the little house shaped graphics.

So, instead of 'The DEVOE Team', you could use both t-shapes where the roof and wall meets on one side of the house graphic to form the left 'T', stretch the body of the house graphic to enclose 'he DEVOE' part and use right hand 'T' to form 'eam' part?

It doesn't matter what you're new at, you'll always be blinded by choice rather than good advice.

thats a pretty good concept... apparently the client has chosen a logo... so i cant really play around or tweak with it some more
