Annoying Dialog box...

I was wondering if anyone knows how to correct this problem... (screenshot attached)
Please ID is not an option right now.

Has anybody any information on those annoying dialog boxes that show up...

What were you doing when the dialouge box came up??

Looks like you entered too many page numbers on the print menu, or just entered a number somewhere that didn't exist or that Quark couldn't go up to...right?

We just converted from q4 to q6.5... this is most likely from the conversion when opening a q4 doc in q6.5. I figure it will smoothe itself out. I just need to edit my applescript to suppress, but I want to make sure it won't corrupt these files. In the end it's more for personal knowledge down the road.

Also if anyone knows a page with common errors like these would help in the future.

I believe it is a bug in the program. I, too, constantly get this exact same message when working in Quark 6.5. It is random for me. One day it will not show up, the next day I will open the same document and get it again. So far, it does not appear to hinder anything. Just really annoying.

As in your case, ID is not an option on these documents. Guess we will just have to ignore it.

Low and behold I just opened an ad and it was fine... 2 seconds later ... shazam, the dialog box appears.

the annoying box seems to be something with the page size.... all of them i open goes all the way to the right and bottom.

Hi Digital. Can you please clarify what you mean by 'goes all the way to the right and bottom'. I'd love to get rid of this annoying problem, as well. Although it seems to do no harm, it is very frustrating. I think it has popped up on me 3 times just today.

The document is scrolled all the way to the right...
Then scrolled to the bottom of the page...

The page programming seems to be a lot different in q6.
It could be the document was created with an extension or something.

I don't have time right now as I am having too many issues (GD looking for new job:classified info)
Try pasting those pages into a new document and saving.
If it's gone it's the document from previous versions.
If you still get it then, start deleting items on the page, one by one.

When I get more info, I will post. For now I will be suppressing these dialogs.

Repasting the document into a new gets rid of it.. I will update as I recieve the messages. Also, there is a number code that comes after the message. See if it's always the same. I think mine are different.

It may be an issue with a bad dimension, position or some such.

A numeral with tow periods, for example. In Illustrator, sometimes I will miss entering a type size or dimension by accidently removing the space between 12 and in., or 24 and pt., for example. It knows what 24 pt is but not what 24pt is. Likewise, 30 in. is comprehendable whereas 30in. is not.

Keep an eye on that and see what happens.

Q4 docs seem to be the culprit. Copy paste in a new doc and your fine.

I get the same message when doing repeat business cards... yes, very annoying. Once I ignored it completely and printed!
OOPS!
I got 23499 copies!
Of course I hit cancel on the printer LOL!
