Way too lazy to come up with a proper intro this week so I am just typing random words that sound particularly woody, words like Gone, and Sausage, and Seemly, and Prodding, and Vacuum, and Caribou, But not Antelope!!

Have a great weekend!!! http://koolsplace.com/images/eatdrink042.gif

WC = Water Closet. An ancient term for bathroom popular when Gar was a lad

The only kind of moustache I can grow that doesn't look utterly silly is the sort of narrow, square toothbrush type once sported by Englishmen and Germans. It has unfortunate associations with one German fellow in particular that keeps me from trying to pull it off.

Maybe I'll grow my beard out again this winter. I always get people saying it looks good on me, which I'm not sure how to take. "Hey, you look good with that thing that covers half your face."

You saw that video on youtube where I held a pipe in front of your avatar, told your avatar "cici ne pas une pipe" then turn my back on your avatar and later play leap frog with your avatar before cutting your avatar out of a screen shot and replacing it with mine didn't you? yeah... uhh... sorry about that... :o

Hope things work out for you

^ I once dated her. Cyan Chanel. And even though it didn't work out, I gotta say she was kinda cool.

Then a little later I found out she was part of a set of triplets! I met both her sisters. Magenta and 'Y' months later at a New Year's party. I can't remember too much beyond something called 'overlays' in the extra bedroom... but man, it was hot!

That is, until 'mom', stumbled in (far right).

Okay, maybe she was a little grey but man.... could she define... um, shall we just say, the 'details'.

Keming that's HILARIOUS. Stupid n00bs. Not like TA n00bs, the bad kind.

I feel like some arrow points at me to summon me...
I Say "MMoooreee Work?"

Then I'm summoned again, Somebody help me

Hmmm..."Seen yer member?"

BR, would that be for older guys who can't see over a possible gut - thus not being able to see their "member?"

Can you add my name to that letter too please, Kem? Thank you very much.

Kool, that's got to be one of the best intros yet, but I gotta know...what do you have against antelopes?

Thanks for the laughs on this cold snowy morning.

Weekend = Movie tonight, nieces B-day dinner with family tomorrow, nothingness on sunday because, sadly, paintball season is now officially over. The field closed on monday, and won't open again until April :( What the hell am I going to do with my sundays now, if I have no one to shoot?!?!

Have a great (and hopefully warm) weekend everyone!

I heart Fridays. Thanks for the smiles Kool. :)

Tonight will be filled with sushi and genealogy. Going to my mom's to go through some of the stuff I found out about our family on ancestry.com. She'd started a family tree, but I found a few more great step-aunts and great step-uncles, plus evidence that my great great grandfather was indeed born in Spain. No clues as to the identity of who fathered my grandmother however. I think it's one of those family secrets that died when my great-grandmother passed in the 70s. Makes me wonder if my grandmother was the result of a rape. It's a hard concept to wrap my head around, especially since it would mean I'd be the indirect result of a violent act. Do you condemn the act when you would never have existed without its occurrence? *shudder*

Other than that usual Saturday restaurant and Sunday do-nothings. Life is... well, it is what it is.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Great quotes, thanks. Sorry I was late, I'll submit earlier next week.

Not sure on my weekend, guess it depends on the husband and what he's got planned. I kinda feel like baking (yesterday I remembered why I used to bake so much in the winter - oven makes house warmer), but who knows. Probably going to make some flavored vodka for holiday gifts.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend. :)

No....that word doesn't bother me. You're safe :)

In fact...I think that word even got added to the O.E.D. so technically, it is a real word now.

The reason I hate those other words is:

Whatev - How F'ing lazy are you that you can't even finish the damn word?! it's an "er" sound...it doesn't take much to say it!!

Redonk/Redonkulous - This just sounds stupid!! It really makes you sound like a complete moron. If you are one, then by all means...keep saying it, just so to let people know how dumb you really are. If you don't fit into that category, then say it proper!

Z's replacing S's... there are few instances that this doesn't bug me (informal screen names and EZ-wrap type things), but there's a few Tattoo shops in my area with words like "skinz" that have done this and I immediately think that spelling is not their strong suit and probably don't want to get a tattoo from them because of it. It sounds amazingly easy. Chop up fruit, put in jar. Pour vodka over fruit, add tight fitting lid, put in fridge. Bolder flavors like citrus will only take a few days. Subtler flavors like apple or watermelon may take a week. Some herbs could take two weeks. Taste test until they taste right, then strain into another container. Poof-da!

Heh, my Dad (God love him) sometimes like to pretend he's a Mainer by saying "watah" for "water." Which comes off really odd for a guy with a flat, rhodic, midwestern accent. Whenever he does this within earshot of me or my brother, we both twitch a little bit.

He also had me convinced through childhood that the proper pronunciation of his own home state was "Muh-zuhr-uh." I was in my teens before I heard other native Missourians say it the way most of us do: "Mi-zur-ee."

I remember author Doris Lessing once saying that women never use the term "panties."

flip-flops are cheap...sandals are the nicer variety of anything shoe-thong like or whatnot.

from what I have been told, thongs (the under-roo variety) that might be considered G-string are best as they are so thin they do not bother but the thicker thong that is 1-2 fingers wide can be an annoyance as it tends to feel like under-roos jamming up in a congested area. again, been told, i have not tried to know.

lmaooo ... I have a pair of sweatpants that do that. I got them because they were really loose. I thought they would be great for sleeping. Well when I woke up they were embedded so deep, I needed a crowbar to get them off :D

This thread is killing me I'm laughing so hard.

He also had me convinced through childhood that the proper pronunciation of his own home state was "Muh-zuhr-uh." I was in my teens before I heard other native Missourians say it the way most of us do: "Mi-zur-ee."

Nobert, both are used here in my state (although I dare you to try to pronounce "Muh-zuhr-uh-ans"). It's generally pronounced "ee" in urban areas and "uh" in rural areas, leading the "ee"s to assume the "uh"s are simply less educated. It's really funny to listen to politicians speechify and count the number of times they use each. They don't want to alienate anyone. :D

Yup, yup, yup. I now wear Perry Ellis men's flannel PJ bottoms from Macy's. I'm cheap, so I wait for a huge sale and buy a few pair for $9 each. No wedgies and super soft and comfortable.
