I just can't keep up with tuition. They've raised the charge per credit or something because the bill just gets bigger and bigger every quarter.

So unless a miracle comes along I'm stuck getting a second job. Bah. I have two ideas, but I doubt that they pay well at all (but they'd be fun). My friend is going to see if she can get her same job for me down here (which pays very, very well). Either way there goes my nights and weekends.

I don't have nearly enough experience to freelance for anyone other than my friends who don't mind if I need to fix a mistake. I can sell some of my designs, but the hard part is getting my name to the people who would buy my stuff for their coalitions.

Bah. That's all I have to say.

Ulysses - where do I find one of those?!

Shelle - It sucks having to get another job. If you can get freelance work - good on ya! But I had to work part time pulling pints to get some extra money - but remember that every customer you meet could possibly have a freelance requirement for some design stuff, so always smile and chat to people! Good luck job hunting - hope you get something relatively traumaless!

Where to find a rich boyfriend? Sorry Wonder Woman ... you need to be a rather vain and placid individual to gurantee success. Unfortunately, I don't think GDF ladies qualify, lol

How old are you? goverment grants start kicking in sometime. I was going to go to mcad and then found out it was $290 a credit, but a very awesome school, once goveremnt grants started kicking in for me, it paid for everything, I still did take out a SELF loand and some stafford loans to help pay bills, but my tuition was covered from grants

I had to pay my tuition yesterday and I just wanted to cry I was so frustrated. At least I'm getting $50 back from it (credit card rebate). I'm 20, and have at least another year of school left (they say 9/06). I'm still living at home and of course my parents make too much for me to get any sort of government grants.

My mom nixed the second job and wants me to keep my attention on school. So it's selling my 'cliparty' stuff. One of the agencies I volunteer with pays me quite nicely as a contractor (so I guess I'm not really a volunteer) whenever I can attend one of their events. Selling some things on eBay too.

I dunno what the problem is, but for the last two weeks I just cannot get creative. It's hit or miss and when I can get something going I'm staying up until like 1 or 2am to finish it. So I'm exhausted, frustrated creatively and financially, and my work is stacking up. I have like 3 logo projects that friends want me to do, a website (nothing fancy, don't know HTML or Flash), and I'm giving this poor little newspaper ad my best but it's just not coming together. I think I'd be better off if I can just figure out why so I can get these logos out the door and bring more stuff in.

At times I wish I had a laptop because I'd SO be at the park laying under a tree bustin' stuff out left and right!

I want a refund. My life didn't come with an owner's manual.

I hate internet classes. I've taken like 5 along with my site classes and I haven't learned a stinkin thing. Can't wait for this quarter to be over...

Been there before, when I was in school my parents made to much money for grants, they even said I had to contibute more than my parents because before I started to go to design school I made to much money I guess. We'll you will be done before your 24, when you are 24 you are considered an adult in goverment school standards and then you get all kinds of grant money.
Dont know if you wanna take loans out but SELF loan and PLUS loans are a good way to stay ahead.
