As much as I enjoy design, i'm always frustrated when it comes to designing something for me. I'm talking about my new logo...

now, i'm not asking for work or offering work but I do need a general opinion.

The theme of my logo will most likely be based around dreams. Obviously there are many 'dream' images like the moon, stars, clouds, shooting stars...etc...

I'm wondering if there are any dream images that you all think of that I might have overlooked... Basically, what to you picture when you think of dreams?

Any help much appreciated!

I Dream of dragons.....flying......bright lights......women....ah...em! oh and socks with cats on them
/DesktopModules/dotNetBB/emoticons/biggrin.gif

It's hard to say with dream because they can be everything. MAybe you can have an image that is like i dream...like you know how dreams bleed through? maybe you can have an image for example like half man half dragon....something you would only see in your dreams.

Yep, the Dreamworks (http://www.dreamworks.com/) logo and opening movie credits immediately come to mind (maybe because I watched several of their movies while on vacation).

It is tough designing for yourself. I know I am my own worst client. It took me ten years to create my own logo...

Good luck! - Jeff

I think you could do something quite interesting with the idea of 'castles in the air' and your latin company name. Course, I am biased as far as medieval stuff goes /DesktopModules/dotNetBB/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Hey Jeff! I got a flyer in the mail last week about the HOW design conference in Chicago. I saw your mugshot in there. I'd love to attend this year.

If you, or anyone else from the forum, do attend the conference be sure to track me down and introduce yourself. I'm really looking forward to it - this is my third year as a speaker.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled forum thread topic....

Dreams... The first thing that springs to mind is a thought bubble, kinda like Garbage used on the single for 'When I Grow Up'...

I would've taken over the world, but I got distracted by shiny things.

Ooo! Shiny things!

I think of surrealist imagery like Dali's work. Perhaps a slightly psychadelic yellow submarine sort of feel (only less 60's)

^ Craig B... The Dali aspect is interesting, he is my favourite artist... I'll trawl through my books and images to see if he can inspire me... I'll try to keep it 'Drug-Free' as Dali did like the occasional hallucinogen!

nice one
