sometimes when i turn on my PC in the morning (usually about once a week, sometimes more) i will get a Errors that either say 'Explorer.exe has generated errors and will restart, an error log is being created' or 'Explorer.exe - application error, the memory could not be 'writen.' application terminating.'

and those constantly loop until i restart the machine, and pray that no errors come up.

these same exact errors will come up if i am browsing through multiple windows (likes 5 or 6) that are open, even if the machine booted to windows2000 without any problems.

Even in photoshop, if i jumping in and out of folders too quickly within File>open, photoshop will just dissappear and all of my unsaved files are lost.

please, help me, what is happening here!

What you need to remember is IE/Explorer is the same garbage... If IE is quitting them the OS is going to have troubles. That reason and many others is the reason why I changes to a mac... There was a really good site to fix problems. Since I don't use PC's I really didn't have a use for it anymore.. If I find it I will post it here.

The Photoshop sounds like a memory issue/conflict. My Illustrator had that problem.

question... might be a stupid one, but for what it's worth...

isn't there also a 'windows explorer' that is constantly running in the background? I have had trouble like this before, and had to backup and reinstall everything.

have you checked for viruses? spyware? adware? etc?

i've checked for viruses, spyware, and Registry key poo.. and its clean.
it is only effecting Explorer.EXE (Windows OS), NOT IExplorer.EXE (Web Browser)...

i wish we could switch to MAC but thats a $13,000 upgrade, not really the type of cash we have laying around...

What morea is mentioning is what i am talking about.

Connecting to the interent exposes you to the worst. Spyware/Adware/... is most likely the culprit. You registry is forever changed. And playing with the registry is dangerous.

I spent 1 week cleaning out the registry to rid it of Alexa/Hot Text/Gator...

BTW... Those scanners offerend by most software companies DO NOT WORK, they are placebos...

Try SpyBot... It's free.
