I have a logo posted at www.yoursigncenter.com/paramount.html (http://www.yoursigncenter.com/paramount.html) and I can't figure out what font is used in it. I know that I have used the font before, especially when I first started as a Graphic Designer and also when I did some signs a while back...but I can't remember. If you know, please let me know and if you can point me to where I might be able to download or buy that font on the web. Thanks!

Unless I'm mistaken, it's a font called Georgia -- looks like semibold italic (I only have Italic and Bold Italic, and it's definitely between the two). It's also had it's tracking reduced and (I think) been horizontally scaled down slightly.

Hope that helps. http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/DesktopModules/dotNetBB/emoticons/thumbsup.gif

I would've taken over the world, but I got distracted by shiny things.

Ooo! Shiny things!

I actually have the font named Geogia. The one I have doesn't look much like it, but I will try a search online, maybe there is another font named Georgia also that is different.

Thanks for your help.

It's Georgia on a Mac with an outline stroke applied, converted to outline and the bottom center handle pulled to get the height.
A sign program that comes with fonts will probably have called the font by another name.

An idea might be to actually write in the original file or place a line of type in the actual typeface. Or write a Standard to go with any future logos you may do. Saves on tears later.

JDGraphics, your website's all broken. All 'file not found'.

PD is a grande format digital print dude. His advice/opinions may not apply to the 4color/offset/web world of printing
