I would say it's 1 better than version 10. <img border="0" src= "smileys/smiley2.gif">

It sucks. They moved everything. And their "new features" are just ones they hid really well from 9-10 but have always been there. Some new fill tools, some new brushes, not really a great improvement. More stupid redundant flyouts. Spikies haven't been fixed. Still can't do automatic page numbering. It crashes just as often as 10.Broke the string ofodd-numbered products being the best. Oh wait, 9 did that.

Go for adobe indesign CS (pagemaker) + Illustrator + photoshop, Adobe family proves to have an edge over Corel's!

That's why I'm still stuck on cdr7...I have all the latest Adobe packages and when I have time, I'llattempt to learn it...14 steps to do 1 step in cdr7...that's progress. http://www.graphicdesignforum.com//emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

What the problem? What crashes? Maybe u are computer also from the time of when cdr7 was in use? Then ofcourse dont hope too much (also from adobe)... If u want real improvements - use corel 12. Really good thing. And fast. In fast computer...
If u want be complicated - use adobe photoshop+illustrator and what ever. If u want do your job simple and fast - use corel... if u have used it before

That's why I'm still using Photoshop 6... oh wait, that doesn't make sense...

i have corel 11, and it suddenly decided NOT to work. arbitrarily, it gives an error message that "corel draw has caused an erro in core11.dll and will now close"

which it subsequentlydoes. tech support informed me that because I purchased an academic version that I was not eligible for tech support, though I had my credit card out and was ready to pay for the support.

so, i am planning to revert back to Corel 10. Right now, I am not so inspired to purchase 12 after being burned by 11.

If anyone has a solution to the error message I get, I'd appreciate it. I don't expect any solution, but it would be nice if it ever happened.

There are 2 service packs you can get from Corel's website

Corprolite happened.

what were you doing at the time it crashed? How many and what other programmes did you have open/minimised at that time? What sort of system are you running? RAM?

i got the service packs.
they did not rectify the problem.

so i've decided to master freehand and illustrator, because they crossplatform into the mac world seamlessly.
i've got too much software that is pc based to every bail and go mac

i was running a pentium 4 with 512 mb ram with one program running -- corel.

so, techinically, it was NOT running because it did not boot up.
