I don't have the original version of this logo without the font outlined and I'm not sure who created it but I was hoping someone could give me a hand. On the logo, you will notice that the counters (holes in the letters) are being filled with white. Whenever I do something I have to change the fill color to the appropriate background color. I obviously cant use the logo over images unless I do it in photoshop and then import to quark... PAIN IN THE BUTT! Could someone please look at the file and let me know if there is a way to make the counters truly transparent?

I am having trouble attaching the file but you can download it here: www.mahoosucrealty.com/mahoosuc_horizontal_green.eps (http://www.mahoosucrealty.com/mahoosuc_horizontal_green.eps)

thanks for your help!!

I didn't download the file but I'm pretty sure all you have to do is select the 'counters' as you call them, and the letters. Then go to the object menu and select 'make compound path' /emoticons/cool.gif

Thanks for the reply.. I made them a compound path and all it really seemed to do was group them. If you change the swatch color when you have one selected, you will see what I am talking about.

You have to create the compound paths for each letter separately. I just tried it and it worked fine.

I just tried doing it individually without any luck. Would you mind sending me the file you created? I'd greatly appreciate it. I'll PM you my email address.

thanks.

Learn.
It worked fine for me too.
Change the color to something other than white to see when it drops out if you have too.
The other way is to send the white shape to the back and use Pathfinder>Minus Back. You have to do that individually too (though I sure if you make the green letters a compound path first you can do them all at once using Minus back).

Specialization is for insects...
