I'm using Quark 4.1 in the classic environment 9.2.2 of Mac OS 10.3.7. I have a strange problem with Quark. Whenever I try to Horizontal/Vertical Scale text or Find/Change text, Quark crashes. It doesn't start up properly even after trashing the Quark Preferences until I restart 4 or 5 times and then voila... it starts running fine again (except for the horizontal/vertical scale and find/change issue) I don't even have to do an actual find/change for it to crash. Just hitting Apple+F and then closing the find/change window crashes Quark and OS 9.

I've reinstalled Quark, rebuilt the desktop and reinstalled the OS 9 software to no avail. HELP!!!!! /DesktopModules/dotNetBB/emoticons/eyecrazy.gif

Before you reinstalled Quark, did you trash the program. Also...be sure to do a search on your hard drive for 'Quark' to make sure you get ALL of the files associated with Quark...there might be something you missed. Then try a reinstall and see if that solves the issue.

Yes, and just to be sure, I just re-did it and the same thing happens. I also have a couple issues on another computer and had to reinstall Quark on that and it worked fine. Any other ideas?

Turn off all extensions your not using...
Keep only necessary fonts open, those in the documents...

I never had that occur, but these are 2 things that have cause strange behavior in quark,

Good Luck
