hey big perm... word up...
i like it... it is simple... less is more... however i have some feedback.
- since i am a type freak, the font family you have chosen does not go well with the overall site. i was thinking about using a 'fun' font or whatnot. like the one on the logo. you know what i mean? every type in design creates a mood. /emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
- on the left side where your menu is... i was thinking about having your submenu font 2-4 pixels smaller, that way it creates hierarchy
- it is a tad bit boxy for me.. maybe add a design element or whatnot... just make it more dynamic.. you know what i mean... or maybe use the grid system
thats all what i can say for now. other than that so far so good. keep up the good work.
Graphic design is my obsession and digital abstract art stimulates my mind.

Yes, simple is always good :)
I would play with the fonts a bit more though, like CODE77 sugested.
The flash seems to just be 'floating' to me. Not really a part of the design.

Yes I agree with the above.
Perm your like a guy with mad potential that doesn't use it till your asked to. I know you can completely flip this design.
I would say integrate things more. Like the gradient on the left Nav bar. It's just there. Also the Flash it's just there.
Maybe you don't want to spend time on the design cause the client isn't paying much. If thats the case then forget what I said.
Aside from that the colors work well together but if it's a 'SUNJAMMERS' site it should scream; Outside! Sun! Fun!
Sample some of the colors from the sail boats they look lively and the color from the sand can be used for the background insted of the blue/gray tone your using.
Perm I give you a longer critique then most members number one cause I know you have the potential to realy make a bang up job and number two cause I know you can handle it.

hey thanks yall
I do agree with the comments....its a redesign for a good friend so its free plus I need another clean piece for my portfolio..... I do need to think about fonts and how things float....
I wanted this to be super simple and light on the eyes with the images being the focal point....since its the product he is trying to sell.....
I will mess with it more this was only the first idea.....there will be more

Perm....looking pretty good. Simple and clean. But I feel like your nav type (both primary and secondary) could stand to come down in size a point or two...or three. It just feels a little too large and bulky for the rest of the design....just my opinion. Good stuff though man.
