Goooood Mooooorning everyone! Wake up sleepyheads (including ME!!)!!

At the suggestion of Magnus, we have decided that it would be fun to do a “Blast from the Past” thread once a week for those of us “veterans” to reminisce and for the new members to read some fun and interesting threads that they may not have stumbled upon otherwise.

I will be in charge of seeking out these threads since Magnus so kindly volunteered me ;o) LOL! We will pick up one thread evey monday, to help start Monday off right, as we all know how Mondays can be! Hopefully this will help bring some laughter into the beginning of your week!

So, we start this new tradition of “Blast from the Past” with a thread started on July 26, ‘04 from a member by the name of “BuckarooB” who seems to be MIA for the last serval (or more) months. For those of you who had never read any of Buckaroo’s post - they may seem long at times and somewhat confusing but there is pretty much always something in there to make you chuckle, even tho it may be hidden at times!

Hope you enjoy!!

Yeah....that kind of sucks....we've lost a lot of funny posts, but oh well. Just have to make new ones.

Buckaroob was one wierd harold, but his presence is missed.

"Sometimes I do what I want...most of the time, I do what I have to." (Cicero, from "Gladiator")

"There is a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path." (Morpheus, from"The Matrix")

"It's not cheating if you win...do what you have to do, but don't sacrifice your own honour in the process." (Taken from my iaido instructor, and modified by me)

"I am serving my time in hell on earth...at the job I am currently employed at." (Magnus, about his job)

definitely a classic thread. yes BuckarooB was quite the character, perhaps we'll somehow fit this in on one of the story lines for the GDF animation...'In Search of BuckarooB'

Great stuff D-zine, this will be something to look forward to every week!

d-zine, might i suggest maybe you should create some sort of pic or logo to go with this thread? Maybe a goofy, cartoony looking caveman or something?

Ah, the good old days. Great choice on the thread D-Zine! I think that our industry needs a superhero more than most others!

BuckarooB... how I miss thee. I think that he may have evolved into a higher form of life and slipped into another dimension within the space-time continuum.

Heroes:
Mr. Layout (Able to layout a catalog in a single hour)
Captain Creative (Leaps through idea in a single thought)
Captain Comp (Able to nail complex design even before meeting client)

Evil doers:
The Evil Cosmic Sans (You know what this bitch does)
The Dreaded Creative Block (The arch enemy of Captain Creative)

Hey Tyger you might want to make a special episode of GDF mods with our new heroes.

yup, definitely...maybe it'll be a special episode later on in the future. This my require assistance from the community though i don't think i'd have the time to create all these characters.

It is on the list though!
