I was ondering if anybody uses Quark to design web pages? Or does it make a lot of crap that you have to edit? is there anything worth wild in this function. My work has used Quark for everything. (big catalogs) and are trying to consider a way to make it web accessible so people can order off the internet. Wanting to know if all the work that currently is in Quark can make some transition to the web to lighten the load of the millions of product we sell.
Thanks for any advise in advance.
Crimson.
ps. I have read the forums enough to know that everyone thinks ID is the shiznit but I am in a Quark world on this one.

id or quark doesn't matter when you're talking about web design. my suggestion, don't use quark for anything that is outside it's realm of use. you'll run into too many problems and technical issues that could be avoided with a proper html editing program or just plain text pad.

I wouldn't guess that it would be wise. Are you thinking of managing a catalog site by building HTML static pages? Choosing Quark versus Dreamweaver (or whatever) would probably be the least of your worries ... either will be cumbersome for something of that size.
If you are planning on putting millions of products online, you should be thinking about a good CMS (Content Management System), one where have a database on the server helping you out managing the inventory/content, separating the style (CSS) from the content entirely. That's my two cents. ;)
