Well, at least I'm my son's diaper changer. The fathering comes in later when I teach him all the wrong nouns (i.e. a tree will now be a doorknob, etc...), and possibly a jibberish language instead of English. I didn't say I'd be a good father!
Seriously, my son was born March 18. He's in perfect health, and he's not bad lookin' either. Chocolate cigars to all!

His name's Isaac David Fraker. He was born at 12:14am Friday, March 18. We barely missed St. Patrick's day. Think about it: a kid with a Hebrew first and middle name, a German last name, and born on a Roman Catholic Holiday about an Irish saint. Pretty cool, eh?

Welcome to the Club man! Now you will become a real man although my application bounced and my daughter now is tiring of me waiting for me to become one.

WOOOOOOHOOOOO!
congratulations. that's friggin awesome!
btw - i totally get you on the noun thing. i've often said that my kids will speak only in tv ads, jingles, pop-culture references and catch-phrases.
maybe we can set up trading alliances for the new world order through our kids. and when they can't understand each other (by singing the theme song to 'the jeffersons') we'll be heros because we'll be able to communicate with each other using an ancient language called 'html'.
but really, congratulations!

Thanks a lot, guys. I think I officially became a man when my son peed on me for the first time. He has amazing pressure for such a little guy. If properly trained, I think he could find success on the professional urinary marksman circuit. Maybe I'll just teach him the wrong animal names, because it'd be hard to keep it straight if I included ALL nouns. Or, I could just teach him that all animals are to be called dogs.

Today I begin to understand what love must be, if it exists.... When we are parted, we each feel the lack of the other half of ourselves. We are incomplete like a book in two volumes of which the first has been lost. That is what I imagine love to be: incompleteness in absence.

He's pretty alert for a baby, I'm sure that's a sign of good and brilliant things to come...that or he'll learn how to open doors faster....beware!
:) Congrats I can't wait till it's my turn.

Its really cool - so I hear! LOL!
My best friend of 22 years just had #3 and this is the first one I was able to be there for her with from the beginning of the pregnancy to the birth. He was born the 14th of this month. He was so NOT aware and just looked not real at first...I have been visiting her alot and this weekend when I went he looked so alive...and alert. Just an amazing thing - watching them grow.

Congrats on the new version!
Now you just need one of your buddies to have a kid, then in a couple years build a fighting ring, through the kids in there and start betting on the outcome! (Sorry this was a topic of conversation not too long ago. It was funny at the time. All of our girlfriends were just shaking there heads!)

Jason the pee was just the initiation, wait till he poos on his dress up clothes and you in turn have to bath him and redress him in “God Knows What” cause you had to be at “The Event” so now your late and he well he’s stressing both Daddy and Mommy out. That is the turning point and if you ever where the “No excuse you have to be there on time” kind of guy you get a smack in the face of what life really holds.
It’s really a grateful experience cause you turn into A REAL MAN!!! I know it sounds bad but trust me it makes you see life through different eyes. My daughter is 4 and things have changed now she pulls the “Papi I thought you said she was ugly” on me. Boy is that a great feeling!
