I have a potential client called 'Mirror Mirror Hair Design'. She does not want hair as the focus in her logo and wants a very classy look. Thing is, I am going up against another designer for this project so I need to WOW her. The obvious on this is a reflection with the word(s) 'mirror'. I need to get out of the box big time. Any thoughts fellow creative people?

This is my best 10 minute effort.. I'm at work and not on my mac at home so I don' have all of my preferred fonts, but this visual pun may get your juices flowing.. The typeface is Coronet if you like it.

try not to be to literal with the name, instead give a very nice elegant and Dignified type treatment

so you're suggesting completely staying away from the reflection idea..

I think that's a mistake. When you have a word with strong visual connotations, I say go with it...sure you can definately avoid the obvious, but a subtle suggestion like the direction Aelidon was heading might be a good idea.

ok... it's coming down to crunch time on this one... my creative block has got the best of me.. i really need something outside the box on this one.. the best i have come up with is using 2 'M's' and flipping one of them. any other brilliant ideas out there?

I'm probably not much help, but you could do something like this...

thanks for the idea lfredericks.. i had actually played around with that.. but i was thinking it might come across more as a shadow than a reflection... i also didn't want people to think it was only 'mirror hair design'.

but keep those ideas rolling in!!

thanks again.

what about playing with the letters...so that you spell out mirror in all caps for instance..then having the other mirror letters in between the letters of the first mirror word....in a smaller or different font

or what about picking an icon to represent the symetry of the words mirror...just looked at the butterfly in divine desine's logo...then just picking a fancy font the the name...

i dig the upper left one on the first set. The MM's remind me too much of the candy. Good work!

I agree, the upper left on the first one...second pick would be the one at the very bottom on the same set.

from the first sheet, i like the bottom one the most.

i'm curious about the double m's at the bottom of the 2nd sheet....they're starting to look like combs to me....could be worth playing with...

I'm with Uncle...first sheet, very bottom logo. I think it gives that 'salon feel' and I would know bc my sis works in a salon....haha! ;o)

I was actually wanting to use a harder looking cursive for the bottom logo on the 1st page. if any of you have some of those fonts, send em my way baby!!
