Hey everyone,
I'm looking some cool wall art to hang on my home i've set up.
any idea where I could find some? I was checking out James Jean website, had some cool stuff. Also the Joshua Davis store is down. I'm presently just looking around Behance.
I'm open to suggestions, Thanks.
Thanks in advance

Depends what sort of wall art you're looking for. I mean, heck, you could just go to posters.com …
I'd look around gig posters (http://www.gigposters.com/classifiedads/) if you're at all into music.

DeviantArt can be a great place to find some home art posters. The downside is not all art is available as a print (but most pro art is).

Or you can go to a local art gallery and pick out an original piece. I think traditional artists deserve some business too, not just big companies that churn out posters of someone else's work.

Something inspiring or design related. Even an Ad by a famous graphic designer or studio. I want to feel like I'm in a creative area of my house, if that makes sense.

I've been searching etsy, I haven't found anything yet. Any suggestions?

yeah, Deviant Art is great—looking around all day. Any prints you suggest on it?

I agree but local gallery prices are insane, I will someday for sure!

If you like traditional paintings: http://www.dailypaintworks.com/
Graphic treatments of text (you can even submit your own words, or just order one they've already done): http://phraseologyproject.com/
You don't have to go to a gallery necessarily. Check your local screenprinters/design houses. You could put an ad on our classifieds section and describe exactly what you want.
Also, if you see any artists on DeviantArt you like, many work on commission - meaning you'd get a one of a kind - and most offer prints of their work - I like http://lastscionz.deviantart.com/ and http://pacman23.deviantart.com/ among others.

I bought a watercolor from an artist in my neighborhood at a local street fair for $75, 8"x 18" unframed. He also has a open house during the holiday season every year, hot cider, hot chocolate, homemade cookies and oh yea, paintings at special event prices. :D I like supporting the local art community.

Every couple months or so the local community college here has an event where local artist sale their art. Some of them are really interesting characters and some of them are pretty talented. And you would be supporting local artists. Maybe you could check around.

Well that depends, haha. What exactly are you looking for? You could also browse Daily Deviations to get a start into some other people. Some of my personal favorites:
http://lessthanhuman.deviantart.com/
http://derzorvadur.deviantart.com/ (he's apparently recently plastered his page with all his for-DA works, but his gallery has some really *****ed up but awesome art.)
http://zaphk.deviantart.com/
http://widyantara.deviantart.com/
+tons more.
Art is so personal. We have so much art in our house, visitors always comment that our house feels like a gallery. I wish we had more walls! I am really into investing in local artists and I have a few works from friends and family.
James Jean came here for an exhibition not far from my house. I love his work. It is freakishly beautiful.
There is also the option of displaying your own work. Stuff that makes you happy are things you can live with.

Why dont you go to posterhead or another such company and have them make custom wall graphics from your own photos ? They can be photos of a mountain, lake, gf or ?

Finding the 'right' art that clicks is a lifelong and personal journey IMO.
Every once in a while you'll see a painting or photograph you can't look away from, that's when you'll know you've found one. The difficulty and time invested in finding the right paintings is part of the reward IMO.
My favorite painting is William Holbrook's The Bear Dance, just because I remember seeing it often as a child and getting so mesmerized. But I also have decorative photographs as well.
