I'm suposed to scan some illustrations at high resolution and save them in Photoshop. What file format will give me the highest resolution/best quality?

If you save as a .jpg or .tif, you will have full control when you open it in photoshop. You may have to clean it up once you have scanned it. I've found that this is probably the most efficient way to to this.

Save as Tif for best for best results. The resolution will remain the same but JPGs will compress the file and you risk losing some quality.

'If' you wanna start using layers in Photoshop you will need to save as PSD.

No jpg's, especially for 'high-resolution'.

You may be able to get away with it once in an emergency (and many stock houses rely on this) but each subsequent save to jpg is bad, bad, bad.
