I'm running into a problem regarding the fill color I choose in Corel Draw and the color that's actuallyprinted. If I print a scanof aphoto or a something off the web, the colors are perfect so I think my monitor's calibrated OK. If I choose a fill color fromthe Corelcolor palett, a color several shades different is printed. Lets say I choose a lime green, I end up gettinga forrest green. Is there a way to calibrate colors in Corel Draw in order to match the colors shown on my monitor? I'm using a HP 9650 printer.

Thanks,

IMSA

First, you should turn your colour calibration on.

Go to TOOLS->COLOR MANAGEMENT and choose OPTIMIZED FOR DESKTOP PRINTING or OPTIMIZED FOR PROFESSIONAL OUTPUT

You will se a large shift in colours when you go back to Corel. The Palette will seem darker and duller but those are the colours that it will print.

After that, use CMYK colours rather than RGB colours for your vector graphics. Your RGB bitmaps will be output about the same.

Thank You Keyare!!!!!!

I made the changes you suggested and the colors reproduced perfectly! I've been having color printing problems now for 7-8 years so I couldn't be more pleased. Better late than never thay say.
