I don't use Zips anymore. Had too many problems with Iomega drives at work..LOL! CDs are so cheap now and they are just easy. I guess thats why most people are using them now. Not to mention you can store alot more on em.
Good luck selling them tho. Surely there are ppl using them somewhere! /DesktopModules/dotNetBB/emoticons/thumbsup.gif

Zips had their purpose at one time, but no longer too relevant. You still want to have a Zip drive because the odd customer will come in with one every now and then. Back when I started this job, I got Zips all the time. Now I barely see them anymore. I still use a Zip, but only for moving files between the PC and Mac. Iomega really got screwed over in the CD-R revolution, and even more so now that DVD-Rs have really caught on.

One more thought of mine, the one thing that CD-Rs and DVD-Rs don't 'quite' have is that drag and drop convenience, moreso that you have to wait for them to burn or a misburn can occur. But that's where Flash memory drives have been increasingly popular.

We still use zips around the office. Don't ask me why. Sometimes it's just faster than trying to communicate Mac to PC thru the network.
Clients still send things on zips too. They always want them back though.
Cd's are the norm. DVD's are still too expensive and not alway re-readable on different comps for some reason.
Flash memory drives are a pain sometimes when the ports are on the BACK of your computer or the hub...Or you don't have a free slot and the cable you pulled drops down behind the filing cabinet. The new comps with the ports in the front are handy (and no, you can't plug it into the extra keyboard port, it's unpowered).

I accidentally dropped a zip disk with some school projects of mine during my first semester of college...I dropped it along with everything else in my bookbag after parking across the street after a late night of work. I thought I got everythingbut apparentlyI missed the disk. On this disk was the updates I made to 20 ppt files and 10 Access databases (for "Computer Applications", aka Microsoft Office 101...this was during my attempt at a degree in IT). What was really awesome is that itsnowed the next day, and I looked for the thing for two days until I found it on the street where I dropped my stuff, covered in a sheet of ice.
OK, so I got kind of worried and broke off the ice and used a blow dryer on the disk and crossed my fingers in hoping that it would still work...it did, thankfully; I thought my grade was going straight from A to F.
