need advice on how to get my epson pro 4000 to print extremely small graphics&text with sharp detail

our C86 prints sharper tiny format images and text than the 4000. not sure if I need to just up the dpi to 1200 or higher. I tried printing at 720dpi with FINE DETAIL option and MICRO-WEAVE and SUPER(x) on, but to no avail. I think the 4000 should blow a cheap little C84/86 out of the water.

Well...
I just checked the specs on Epson's site...
The C86 has a max print resolution of 5760x1440 optimized.
The 4000 is only 2880x1440.

So it seems the c86 does have the better print res....
