................free ad blocker software that is available to download online...?!?!?!

and i know that you guys always help out!!!
i keep getting horrible ads every two minutes popping up and i can't get rid of them and i have both norton personal firewall and anti virus... any help or ideas would be much appreciated......

Maybe I misunderstood.
Sounds like what you need is a pop-up blocker though.
Your ISP should have something.

thanks a ton printdriver for pointing that article out to me and allen for writing it!!
problem is now solved... i discovered that it was the windows messenger service that was causing these ads to come up!
so.... i installed and disabled necessary files and i am no longer going mad!! /emoticons/smile.gif

we've have a firewall to prevent spyware from installing and use google's toolbar pop-up blocker for web-browsing. it's great, no more pop-ups.

it had to do with windows messenger service (different then msn) which the google bar and firewall dont block...
but now that i disabled it with the help of 'ad-aware' problem is solved!!
