Hi everybody
Our dealer of Arizona Plotters in Dominican Republic is offering me the Arizona 500, including the Onix Rip, instalation, training, inks, etc. The plotter is brand new and the price is US$35,000.00. I was checking in th 'Sign Bussiness' magazine of April 2003, that the price of this printer was US$140,000.00 the last year.
Can somebody tell me if there are something wrong with this printer?
Thanks
Regards

Says it's an ok printer.
But it's an ad.
Can't find anything on www.flaar.org quickly. You might look as they are very unbiased in their printer reviews. I'm crunched. Don't know anyone with one.
It sounds very slow in high qual mode. And 2-pass will barely cut it for tradeshow, MAYBE.
Take into account your installation.
Power, ventilation = $$$
Sounds too good to be true. New? Maybe returned for Refurb (like broken outta the box and sent back for replacement and repair)?
Sorry can't do more for you.
Specialization is for insects...

Vutek makes some excellent printers. Their 80' - 6 or 8 color model is the ballz.
They're both fast and the new one can be configured 4 over 4 for fast outdoor stuff or CMYKcmyk for decent up close stuff. 720dpi apparent/360dpi actual. Nice stuff.

See if they have used machines from people upgrading to new models.
Are you seam welding for billboards with that 2 meter machine?
And for billboards, even with a Vutek you shouldn't be printing in highest quality. Wasteful.
