Hey everyone,
Just wanted to post a little blurp up here for representing Maya. If none of you have ever touched a 3D application before Maya is a GREAT application to learn. I recommend that you also check on cgtalk.com for tutorials to get your feet wet in 3D. Here's a friend of mine TINK, that I created in Maya last year.

I second your opinion. I have used 3DS Max, on PC (God forbid), Cinema 4D XL, Infini4D, Strat 3D, Dimensions, Bryce 5, Lightwave, and Carrera.

Maya tops them all.

And best of all, it runs on my super-powerful PC crushing Dual G5 without crashing repetatively like the machines at school did. They were all Boxx Systems with Win NT and Wildcat cards. They kept going down like two dollar whores.

Anyway, here is an ad I did last week in Maya 6.5 Unlimited on the Mac.

I know, the cord looks a little straight and not curved enough... I was in a major time crunch, and the client wanted it how it looks. And, that is what is important... right?

Well yes just to add Maya is the Top leading app in the 3D market, oh and XSI too.

To say which app is better I'd say XSI, well nah!! both is, the only thing us designer who want's to dive into 3d must consider is (I think most of you designers are on Mac) Maya runs on Mac platform. but XSI does not.

Just to say I use XSI and I'd say it's a best 3D app in the world, that means I design on Windows.:) Did that kind of hurt you?? :D
