Font Question

I need to find a certain font or technique of doing so but I haven't been able to do so yet. What I want is a technique that will allow a font to display a 3D pipelike feel to it for a word on the banner.

I'm creating a website for a performance exhaust company.

Any suggestions?

Sounds like you are looking for some sort of tube font, or possibly it could be done in a 3D application and then imported in. Illustrator CS has a 3D effects filter, you might could do your text, create outlines from it and then run it through on of the 3D filters.

There's a simple font called Quicksilver and another one called Pluto Outline. I'm sure there are others. But if you want a real metallic look you definitely want to do Allen's advice. Search for tutorials online for Illustrator. Stick with vector if this is a logo that is being used other than for web.

So here is what I have done so far as a prototype. If anyone has any suggestions that would be cool. :p

Also, what web hosting service should I use for this? I would like for it to have a php function enabled at least. I would also like it to be reasonably cheap and possible to pay with paypal. Any suggestions?

Anyone?
Also, Is there a way I could pay with a cheque in the mail? My parents are really untrusting about giving bank info on the net.
