On my home computer, a G5 running Jaguar (i know, i know), my System Update is broken. Whenever I try running it, to search for updates, it quits unexpectedly. Anyone know how to fix this?
I plan on buying Tiger as soon as it comes out, so maybe that will fix the problem, but just in case, does anyone have any suggestions?

Try running a Utility like OnyX (free). Cleans up caches and temp files, does your permissions and all the scheduled maintenance your mac would do if left on 24/7.
It also lets you import IE favorites into Safari and adds some other functionalities as well.
May help. (Make sure you download the Jag version and RTFM in the help files before running or you may dump some stuff you didn't intend to dump)
If it doesn't help, it's still a sweet little app to have around.
Or download the last system update manually and try a reinstall.

Shible, it's 10.2.
Thanks for the advice Defjoe and PD, sounds like a great app to have, whether it solves my problem or not. I'll give it a shot.
You know, Apple always wins awards for having a great customer service website, but i've never once found their support forum useful. I get most of my Mac advice here.
