WooHoo!! another week gone by. Lots of new members this week and most of the old members seem to have made it to the new platform. Keep looking for past members who haven't made it yet and send em an e-mail. Where's Silence 04?
Lots of rain here where I am, so much that after 6 straight years of drought now we are worried about getting flooded. Either feast or famine around here. I just wish it would dry out enough to mow my lawn. I believe there is a small tribe of Pigmies living in my backyard

Great Friday Post Kool....
I've still gone ANOTHER week here at work with-out getting my NEW computer. It has arrived, and is sitting on my desk, cluttering everything, and teasing me with the suprise new flat 19" LCD screen to go with it. Hopefully Monday it'll be set up for me to relish the newness of it!!
I'm starting my diet on Monday, so this weekend will be my "Fatfest" weekend.. LOTS of beer, LOTS of food and junk!!!! Not unlike any other weekend! ;)

Great post, Kool! Petting belugas is nice. They are soft and smooth, for the record. Not slimy or anything.
I had a great meeting with my boss this morning. Looks like things just *might* be moving in the right direction here. http://mysite.verizon.net/amthibodeau/coolcat.gif
The weather is looking nice today, finally the rains have stopped for a bit... hopefully long enough to mow the lawn and plant the rest of the garden. Here's looking forward to a nice weekend (although I have not heard the weather forecast yet I am optimistically trying to believe that is NOT going to start pouring the moment I don my garden gloves! :p)
Big hugs to all of you wonderful folks... may your fridays pass smoothly and your weekends bring much happiness!

Happy Friday everyone! Great post Kool :) Sorry to hear about all your rain! I hope there are no flooding issues! We lost our rain finally too!
Kool - I did managed ot cut my grass last night so I think my pygmies have fled from my yard all the way over to yours!! Although I think one may still be hiding - he has burrowed a hole at the end of my backyard...to creep under the fence!! Well, it was either him or...the armadillo, the rabbit, the possum or the racoon! YIKES!
This weekend is SCADs "Sidewalk Arts Festival"
http://www.scad.edu/saf/
This is ALWAYS a great time of the year! I get to see old Alumni friends and see what all the current and prospective students are up to! Not to mention I get free food, music and an alumni gift...LOL!!
Also..coming May 6th is SCADs "Sand Art Festival"!
http://www.scad.edu/sandarts/
They started this one ^^ after I graduated and I have yet to go to one but I am planning on it this year! I will try to get pictures from both events to post on the forum!
Other than that - no real plans this weekend. Grass is cut so I don't have to worry about that - YAY! Should be a nice, relaxing weekend!

This weekend is going to be weird for me.....short story, someone I know is marrying a girl who is definitely not right for him (basically psychotic), heck, the groom won't even talk about the wedding when you bring it up. So a week or two ago, he moves out on her practically severing their ties, which we all cheered at. But then, there was some situation with the house builder that if him and her don't honor their agreement (I don't know all the details), they'll get sued.
So we were disgusted that they got back together (but no wedding) to move into the house. And as of this week, now the wedding is back on again (it's tomorrow).
What a mess.

Details????
lol! I knew I couldn't get away that easily.
Last night I sent a l-o-n-g email detailing all of my concerns, because things have been so hectic here that he and I have not really touched base in a few weeks.
He wrote me back and apologized for the way things have been going. Then when I got in this morning he called me in to his office to meet with me and tell me about the changes he is making (which will shift my focus back to marketing and away from office-slave), will be picking up my color printer this weekend and hopefully buying the credits for my stock photos this afternoon. Also, I'm up for review in a few weeks and am expecting a raise.
I feel a lot better about things, providing they actually DO work out this way. http://mysite.verizon.net/amthibodeau/coolcat.gif

My secret is pretty much to be logged on to the forum 24 hours a day, but if THAT doesn't work, try clicking "New Posts" in the nav bar at the top of the page when you log in, and it should list recent threads.
Also, under your User CP, make sure that you have "edit Options" -> "Default Thread Age Cut Off" set to "Show All Threads". It's a little awkward getting used to the new format, but I am a lot more comfortable with it now.

My secret is high rates, and little work. The high rates seem to be much harder convincing new clients to agree with though ... hence why I'm looking for some additional 'steady employment-type' work.
Thanks for the tips Morea :)
