This is a little late (in relation to the occurance of this event), but I thought I'd share it, and see how far some of you have gone.

I was with a friend last Saturday, and we decided to drive to a nearby Ikea homestore. Being that it was only 20 or so miles away, we figure we'd have several hours to spare when we arrive, before it was due closing.

So, an hour later (after far far too much laughter and joking in the car) I say to him "doesn't this seem to be somewhat further than it should?" to which he replied "yes". We stop the car at the next junction, and pull out the map. We're 100+ miles past our destination. That meant another 100+ miles back, and another hour. Needless to say, we had just enough time to get a few things ... but we rushed like crazy.

Something similar happend to me last year on our trip to Niagra. It was very early in the morning and I just go tout of Toronto while another vehicle and I got involved in a game of car tag. That's where you drive in front of the car, he changes lanes and goes in front of you, then you do the same switching lanes. Anyway , that driver bit and it went on for quite some time. I missed my exit towards niagra long time ago and started heading towards Windsor...well, needless to say i had to turn back and it was another 45minute drive back the right way.

My wife wakes up and says "are we there yet?"

ooops!

When you said 'car tag' ... I had visions of boy racing, lol.
