i used to have a html site, but now i am constructing this flash site for my self, its a bit tricky, and i wondered what people think about the use of flash and the site?. i am studying graphic design at bath spa university college. Any replies will be very much appricated.

yunno, I will say this. For whatever reason, I stayed on your site for quite a long time. This I think is a very good thing. It's fun.
I Looooooooooooove the penguins!! Can I have one?! :)
The "switch site style" is fun (I haven't seen that done in flash myself). Overall it's just fun, personal, quirky ... I'd continue to pursue the flash version for sure.
I won't comment on specific design issues because I am sure people will be along here soon to do that. I am first so I get to be Paula Abdul ... (hopefully you get "American Idol" in Bath? lol)

I love your site, too. I agree that the "switch style" is very clever. The only problem I have is that my screen is kind of small and your design is really wide, so I have to scroll back and forth. Maybe that just means I need a bigger monitor... hehe.

heia norge!!! lol - so i'm not the only norwegian on the forum after all!
nice work, i like it a lot. the "change style" feature is pretty good i think!
I like it, i ve always wanted to do that sort of navigation. Maybe one day! Don't know if I like some of the background styles, some seem over the top for me. Interesting though!

I am very flattered by all the positive replys! Thank you very much. If anyone wanted the penguin, or the action script for the navigation, just email me (andmel@mac.com) and ill give it to you. Thanks again.
Andreas :)

Do me two favors...
1)...name your page something. There is no title in the <TITLE> code. "Untitled document" bugs the hell out of me.
2)...either center your page or have it flush to the top and bottom; that white gap is bugging me.
Other than that, I really like what you got going on and I will agree that changing the site appearance is quite clever and is something prospective employers should remember. Keep up with the flash work...I personally find working in Flash far more rewarding than HTML and I personally find that once you start to know what you're doing, Flash is less frustrating than HTML in terms of browser-compatibilty and final published product. Like your Illustrations too, I downloaded the huge Bristol one to my CPU because it's pretty nifty.
