Why are you using flash for this? Seems a little overkill. A little more color would make it pop though.

I think the white space can be quite effective, but it means laying out your text effectively. I think the fonts selection and placement aren't quite right here to get away with saying it's clean & simple. You have to really look at your design critically for this layout to be effective. It's not quite balanced, and I agree there's too much animated effects taking place that take away from the clean look you are trying to achieve. Layouts that use alot of white space, may look 'simple'..but don't kid yourself...alot of thought goes into it for it to work.
