Hang in there, folks, we can beat the Monday Blues! ;)
Neuro and I had a nice weekend... Saturday we went to a little dinner and a movie place in town and saw Robots. It was a lot of fun.

Good morning everyone. Interesting, introspective weekend. Attended a memorial gathering for a friend on Saturday evening. She died from breast cancer a couple weeks ago after a long, horrible struggle. Such things always put your own life in perspective. Looking forward to getting back on track work-wise...

Definitely having an Office Space type Monday. Press conference on Wednesday to prepare for, finalizing a twenty page marketing piece for a client, on top of the usual madness. I did get a new watch on Saturday though so I guess it all works out.
"Did you get the memo?"
Morning eveybody! My weekend was pretty dull. Finally evicted the pygmies and mowed my lawn. Yesterday I did my every other month supply shopping for my daughter who is in Africa. http://home.comcast.net/~rnick9/koolsmiley.gif

I am so sorry about your friend Jeff!
Actually, Saturday morning my grandfather died. Nobody saw it coming... he just collapsed while talking to a friend. The paramedics restarted his heart three times, but just couldn't keep it going.
I completely understand about the loss of a loved one putting your own life into perspective. I've been doing my share of introspection over the last few days as well.

thanks Jeff.
It's always hard to lose someone we love. I am also looking forward to getting back into my routine to help settle my mind. The happy memories do provide some comfort, but with the loss still so recent, it is bittersweet comfort indeed.

Welcome to Monday folks. Today is the chaos I expected in the office! ICK!
Weekend was good. Sidewalk Arts Festival was GREAT! So much fun! If I can ever get a chance today, I will throw up a thread about it! Saw 2 movies this weekend..."Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy and "Sahara". I really enjoyed both. Was a decent weekend and relaxing!

Yeah, sorry to hear about that Morea. That's never fun to hear on the weekends of all days.
My weekend was extremely weird.
I installed OS X Tiger on Friday night, but I'm not particularly impressed with it...there's just not enough to it (they should have saved this stuff and combined it with the next update). The Dashboard feature is very, very handy though, and I really wanted Automator. I also bought an iPod Mini for my mom for Mother's Day and I spent my free moments over the weekend digitizing her CD collection.
Saturday afternoon I was teaching fencing classes when I asked someone "Is something burning?" To make the entire story much shorter, my fencing instructor pulled up in front of the building and his car literally caught fire (flames shooting out of the hood) and the fire department had to get involved. As I pulled away from the center for the day, I saw his car sitting there with the front end charred.
On Friday I mentioned a wedding where the groom moved out and split up with the bride about one-two weeks before, and suddenly the wedding was back on for this weekend. Well the marriage happened, and now we're counting the days before the inevitable divorce.
Bumped into my fair share of coked-up crazies on Sunday....the neighbor on the end knocked on the door while I was trying to play Diablo II and needed to use the phone I think she said her phone was dead, but she sounded pepped up on something and it was tough to make out her words. She took my receiver and made her call from my porch, but I kept an eye on her....she proceeded to run around the yard while on the phone (if you ever seen the FedEx guy on MAD TV, it's exactly like that). To make that story short, she continued to knock on my door and disturb me two more times within that half hour.
Then I went to the game store to trade in all my Gamecube stuff (don't play it anymore). There was a huge guy with shoulder length hair doing the tallying. As I'm waiting for the total, the female clerk (who also sounded drugged out) suddenly blurted out "Wow.....both your hair is like different lengths." There was an uncomfortable silence until I finally blurted out "What?!?" She said "Oh, never mind."
??????
Then that Sunday wraps up with a barbeque with several of my friends, and since I only got about three hours sleep last night, I'm pretty tired at the moment. So another Monday, I sit here going nowhere in life.

hey Patrick,
I'd like to here more about your experiences with Tiger thus far, when you get a chance i've started a thread here OSX Tiger: Post your feedback here (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8108).
I'm definitely going to upgrade as i'm coming from Jaguar so I just want to hear everyones experiences, both positive and negative.

Tyger:
In short, if you're coming from Jaguar, it is absolutely a worthwhile upgrade and all that and a bag of chips. The problem though is that it's not different from Panther.

I kinda figured that Patrick. thanx! Perhaps you can share still for the Panther using members.

I had an OK weekend. my boss sent me home with an ancient family photo in one of those ornate golden plaster frames and bubble glass. She was told that it absolutely could not be taken out of the frame (the back was covered in duct tape), so it had to be fixed up as-is. Always up for a challenge of that sort, I took it home, photographed it from a 40 degree angle (so the flash or other light wouldn't glare on the bubble) and proceeded to photoshop it. It required a reverse spherize filter to remove the bubble, perspective transformation to correct the angle I shot it from, and the inevitable color correction/cloning fixes. Still wondering what to charge her.
Other than that, I did the usual crap. Bought a small pressure washer to clean my siding and stone walkway.

GOOD morning:
Weekend was good, listened to some live bluegrass on Saturday night. Other than that weekend was good. Although I can't say that for the weather around here. It's May 2 (finally) and it has been snowing on and off since yesterday. I guess that's what you get when it's 80 degrees the whole 2nd week of April.

Saturday I went down to San Diego to see an IMAX film with my brother's cub scout troop. That was okay, but I wish I could have stayed longer to explore the museum with them. Instead, I had to race up the freeway to reinstall XP on my step aunt's computer (long story). After that, I had to rush off to my friend's wedding reception. It was nice, though a bit windy as it was outside.
I woke up yesterday feeling like utter crap so I got a super late start driving home from my mom's house. Worked on a logo manual until midnight and am off in a little bit to meet with my group to proof it (please tell me they don't want massive changes).
That's my life, and my Saturdays are booked up until the end of June. It's driving me crazy!
Only 48 days until my tooshie is on the plane to NYC, London, and Paris for two weeks!

Ok, I have determined that...
Cottage Cheese is extreemly discusting, and I cannot eat it!!!! I'm gunna have to substitute!! Oh my god, I keep gaging. It's lumpy :\
On a brighter note: Got my New computer at work up and running... almost!! Still waiting for all the programs to be installed. But, FINALLY!! It's nice and FAST!

try yogurt instead, Kink. I'm not a fan of cottage cheese either!
I would, but it says to substitute it with either a meat or an egg. But my friend also says she does the yogurt thing too, with the same diet. So, I think I'm gunna do the yogurt... oh my.. It's so discusting!

Yeah it's that guy again..... Sorry in advance!
Friday was the year-end around here so we all had to do inventory. Boring, but there was some goofing around that made it fun. That lasted until about noon.
Then the weekend started with a bang.
The owners brought in some awsome steaks from M and M meats. They were great! Along with some booze. Eventually left work around 7:00.... in a cab... Oh well. Lottsa fun there!
The weekend continued the next day with a bunch of friends of mine. Went out dancing. No drinking for me this time around. DD all the way!
The only two downers were that the gf is in Vegas now having a blast! ( Miss her though...) And a really good friend of mine may be going blind!
Yeah, you read that right, he has diabities, so that is finally kicking in a little bit. There are a few more test that he needs to run through but the estimates right not are 3 to 5 years. Hopefully they are able to do something for him. But it is not looking good right now. It really hasn't hit him just yet either.
Other than that, taken it easy today!

I had a pretty good weekend. My fiance and I had a crazy end-of-the-semester party Friday night... then recovered all day Saturday. Once we were feeling well enough to drive we went to visit my family because we ran out of groceries and didn't want to spend money on new ones. :P And now we're both back at work, and we have to take finals this week.

I eat yogurt all the time for lunch, but pick the good stuff. Try looking at the grocery store for those "Lite 85s" or something similar with flavors (banana, cherry vanilla, etc.), they're only around 70-90 calories and little to no fat. Very good, too.

I agree, those are very tastey and healthy. Plus, I've been hearing that dairy products help people loose weight faster.
