I'm going to NYC, London, and Paris for about two weeks this summer with my school. In order to get independent study credit for the trip we have to produce some sort of project about our trip. Some people do photo diaries (boring) or video diaries (boring) and I have no idea what to do.

I'd prefer to stick with something photographic, as I'll (hopefully) have a decent camera to work with by then. Lots of digital pictures take up no space in your luggage either :)

I'm thinking of focusing in on photgraphing the toilets or faucets (my strange sense of humor) or collecting samples of something throughout our travels. I have no idea. I'm not that great of a photographer too so I can't force cool effects into boring pictures to make them cool.

Anybody have any cool ideas that they want to share? At this point I'm pretty open.

How about photographing the best looking men from each location on your travels? In all seriousness, you could look into posture, grooming, fashion etc etc ... to justify photographing hot guys.

Or, perhaps you could do something more focused, like look at a brand store like GAP, and see how their marketing moguls push different branding images in different geographical zones.

Just a few ideas that come to mind at 4am.

Perhaps I'll have some better ideas later on, when I'm more awake. Oooo ... there's an idea ... you could record people sleeping on your travels, and concoct some kind of story/collage piece that tells a story of what you imagine them to do as an occupation etc ... almost like a fiction/documentary hybrid piece.
