I just got an 'order' to call and halt printing on a brochure that is currently on the press.

Why? Because a phone number is wrong.

- The 5 people who signed off on the proof
- The person who gave me the text (which had the wrong phone number in it)

Same thing happened to me the other day...double sided 11X17 flyer, 2 colour. Goes through 3 people here at the office, the client and whoever else the client showed it to at work. They signed it...but after it's printed they noticed a numerical error.

Client: 'Can we have them re-printed?' (likely thinking they were going to be free)

Us: 'Ummm.....no.'


But again...as Madora said, $hit rolls down hill and and us GD'ers always seem to be at the bottom. Now when the boss shows me something like that I laugh right then and there, for while sometimes I do make mistakes, I know when I can say 'It's not my fault!'
