Hi all, I am asking a question as a complete newbie to graphic design.

I have a banner (36 in x 8 in) made in Illustrator 10 and want to print it on a regular-sized sheets (8x 11 in) and combine them back together on a large cardboard. When I print however, I only get one sheet, the center piece of the banner. I can't get the left and right part of the banner to print.

What am I doing wrong ?

Thank you so much. /emoticons/frusty.gif

you have to select the 'tile' option on your printer settings. if you don't it'll print that section of your image that's within the printer margins. i don't know where you change it exactly, but that's what you do. i think you have to bring it into pagemaker, indesign or quark to tile it though, but i'm not 100% sure.

Thanks 3howards, sadly I don't have any of these apps you mentioned.

Actually, I tried what 3howards said about tiling. Went to document setup and clicked on 'Tile Imageable Areas' and the printer pinted all 3 pieces of the banner.

Thank you very much.
