PDF Problems

I am currently using Quark Express 4.1 and I have Acrobat Distiller 6.0 professional at work. when I started here all the settings have been pre-set. the problem is that when I create a quark file, for a full color postcard for example, the colors are rich, deep, and bright. when I convert to PDF the PDF file comes out looking washed out. the colors are not as dynamic and it does not look as good as what I created. please advise.

Your problem could be placed RGB [not CMYK] files in QX.
