i thought it would be interesting to see what everyone takes pics of when they're out and about - i always carry my camera and although i am not a great photographer i do like to take photos for fun and inspiration. i haven't uploaded that many onto flickr yet, but these are the ones i have done so far (a bit of a random selection!):

i use a nikon coolpix 3100 - dirt cheap but takes decent photos (and it's nice and lightweight so it fits in even my smallest handbag! very important feature that!!)

i have a canon SD10. The reason I got it was because it's like the size of an ipod mini and i could carry it everywhere. i don't carry it enough though. A monthly photo contest would be really fun! Nice pic neballer!

Just kidding: I have a Canon EOS 20D and a SD300. The 20D is for work and the SD300 I carry all over the place. I try and shoot at least one pic a day and post it to my site (http://www.rgsdesign.com/aotw/aotw.htm)

Thanks neballer. Actually i will have a "gallery" and a work in progress portfolio up soon. Most of the stuff i take is comissioned works or my spare moments. I do a lot of product and architectural photography and may delve into some stock photography as well (both film and digital).

I make some of my work available as free wallpaper and also for non-commercial use under the free section on www.designertoday.com there is a free wallpapers tab.

When I was at Joe's, about to leave we saw these 2 lizards on the sidewalk, fighting. One has his mouth around the others head - it would have been an awesome shot! Of course...I don't own a damn digital camera! ACK!

yes on both counts D-zine. I love shooting (cameras) in Savannah. I am going to plan a coupld of days in row one day and spend the entire time snapping pics of different things in out of the way places, thing that i notice, but most people don't see (till i create them with my camera).

D-Zine kodak has a 5mp shoot and share camera that is under 300 bucks, heck they even have a dye sub photo printer that works with it for under 200 i believe. I got one of the cameras and printers for my wife so she could shot and print before and after pictures in the salon.
