I need your help!

I am a kitchen designer/business owner that has been designing ads on QuarkXpress since the late 1980's. My software is VERY old and it's time for a replacement.

Should I get QuarkXpress again or should I get Freehand? I am very comfortable with Quark but I am wondering if Freehand is better for designing ads. I design ads for both newspaper and magazine (black/white and color). I also want to be able to submit my ads to the printers via the internet. Files need to be PDF or EPS.

Also, is Freehand difficult to learn?

Thanks....any advice is greatly appreciated!

Ps I do have some background in graphic design....received degree in the late 80's....but I am so out of the loop....as kitchen designing became my career.

Personally, I'd say either will do... but I prefer InDesign over both of them. Especially since Adobe bought Macromedia, who knows how long Freehand will be around. I just think InDesign is easier to use than Quark. But you should go with whatever you feel most comfortable with because I'm pretty sure any of the 3 will do what you need.

Hi Chalsema! Thanks for your advice....I will definitely check out InDesign! I have not heard of it before. If it's easier to use, I'm all for it!
Thanks!
