this is the coolist effect i have scene, i have noticed it quite alot latly and cant figure how to pull it off in cinema 4d.

Which effect? Mosly it looks like a photoshop montage... the 3d model is rendered with photometric light, then mirrored in PS, and superimposed onto a flat background.
