i am new to the business of web design, and i know it has probably been asked a few times, i've searched, and not found a whole lot. I have recently been asked to make a web site for two bars, next door to each other, and owned by the same guy. So, what i am proposing to the the guy(owner) is that i make one site, split into two. that way one host, cheaper, blah blah...its a hybrid site with two flash intros, one for each bar, then the body of the site. what my question for you all is what your costs include. i saw a post about html costs, but this is like i said hybrid with flash here and there, html, here and there. how should i go about pricing? any help would be appreciated.

I always start with my pricing quite high - because people will always want it cheaper than you quote. And also if you start off with very low prices, people may well think your work is cheap as opposed to inexpensive. It is a fine line to be honest; but you should say something like the sites would cost you £1,200 each if you had them seperately but I can do them as the pair for £1,800 or something like that.

If people think they are getting a discount then they are usually most pleased :D

Hope this helps
