Im getting this error when bringing in text, I NEED TO FIGURE THIS OUT, i have searched google and found nothing, this is the most frustrating error I have ever encountered, the warning pops up every 2-3 seconds....

"This document was built with other versions of some fonts. It will be reflowed using this system's fonts. [20]"

using Quark 4.11 on Mac OS 9, any help much appreciated..

Is this text you are getting from another computer? a client? or text that we prepared on your system, in quark? When you open the quark file, does it give you the "keep document settings" option?

I've had this issue with helvetica before. All of our classifieds are done in helvetica and sometimes when I bring it in from a file that was saved in v5 I get this error and it reflows...which is wierd bc we all have the same helvetica. Only thing I can think of is if you got the copy from another machine and maybe that same font is somehow slightly different so when you open the doc, it reflows it.

did that make any sense?!

Go to utilities/usage/fonts and replace the font that is giving you trouble with the one on your mac :)

yeah, that doesn't work though, I wish it did. screw it, ive had it with fookin Macs (at least anything older the X) they all suck..... grrrrrr

haha, on a side note, i just realized I got my class action law suit against Apple in the mail today, time to make the fookers pay for the roughly $300+ ive bought in crappy adapters...woot!

Could also be a True Type/PostScript/OpenFont issue.

The higher the heat of the anger, the harder the lesson being learned-whether by it's nature or by the resistance of the learner.

i tend to vent alot online, its better then ripping the computer off of the table and using it as a makeshift trampoline. sorry, didn't mean to scare anyone....carry on....

Does Indesign have a Utilities feature. God I miss it.
