PHotoShop CS won't show fonts

Trying to switch my fonts to my new system and PhotoShop CS. Optima is installed but will not show up (all other fonts did). It also will not delete. I used Optima for years on PhotoShop 7 on my old system...anyone have any ideas? The adobe forums said it must be a "shady" font, but it certainly is not.

Optima is one of the flakey ones. Sometimes it won't rip or distill either.
First try to find a virgin copy of the font to avoid corruption issues.
Then
Try putting it in:
Your main hard drive>library>application support>adobe>fonts
and restart photoshop.
If that doesn't work, there are a few other folders you can try putting it in but that one is most likely to work.

Darn!! I love that font, I hope it's not going to become a trouble maker. I had a friend send me hers, same version, same everything, but it works....she told me that when she switched to CS she lost a lot of fonts and never knew why, now she thinks that might be a major issue. I'll tell her what you said. Thanks.
