dye sublimation problems

Hi, new to the world of dye sublimation printing.

We are trying to profile an Epson 4000 printer with BASF dye sub inks using Photoshop 6.

Hoping to figure out an inexpensive way other than countless hours of trial and error.

Any help appreciated. Hope I am posting in the right place.

It isn't just a matter of profiling the printer but also taking into consideration the material you will be sublimating to and the carrier you are putting the ink on. Have you contacted either BASF, Epson, or your media supplier for ICC profiles?

Your other option is to chart PMS colors and swap em. Images will need to be calibrated to custom curves though. More trial and error.
