I need help with identifying these two typefaces.
Any body know what they are? My prioty is the second one. The 'Top Gear' logo.

1 looks like it might be century gothic. not positive, though

If the first one is from the BBC, it will be Gill Sans. All their corporate ID stuff is in Gill Sans.
Not sure about the Top Gear one, but try Whatthefont as Morea suggested.

I prefer Identifont (http://www.identifont.com/). It takes some time, but it usually does a pretty descent job. you can also Identify specific letters, so that it doesn't ask questions about a letter you don't have to identify.

Here is a little comparison of the two sites (not comprehensive I'm sure)
Using same font,
Whatthefont took almost 4 minutes to save the image in gif format, upload and edit the letters. Result: 5 fonts found (1 correct and 4 very close)
Identifont took almost 2 minutes to answer the questions. Result: 9 fonts found ( 0 correct 1 close and 8 not close)
