Hi

I am a newbie to Illustrator CS and have been trying in vain to use the gradient mesh?

Basically, I have an object which is coloured Pantone 151Cwithin Illustrator CS and when I export as an .eps file into InDesign CS, I can see that Pantone 151Chas been added to the InDesign swatch palette.

However, when I add a gradient mesh (and create transparency)to the object in Illustrator and save as an eps again, when imported into a new document in InDesign, the Pantone 151C does not appear?

Apologies if this is a regular question but any help would be gratefully received.

Many thanks.

Did you flatten the transparency in Illy before or while saving as eps?
If you did then, I believe, all your pantone info goes out the window. It's semi-sorta still there in numerical format and should print ok. Just makes it hell to change the color (or rather, nearly impossible.) If you flatten transparency, always do a 'save as'.
