I like this as a Marketing resource. It is a great read. Lots of insight on commercial blogs and marketing in general:

LOL - you tickle me! I might've considered this, but I don't know how to feed an rss (you've found my achilles heel).

Oh they are really easy to feed and cheap. I usually pick up a bag of RSS food at target (I don't like the long lines in Walmart). Mine eat the cherry flavored mildew chews.

Mmmmmildew...You are too funny Benjo.
Here's another blog on (online) marketing (http://www.businesslogos.com/design_tips/category/seo-tips/)... and how to increase the rank on your website, if you have one. I've been working on tons of this stuff with some of my design (http://www.logodesign.com/) sites... hope you find it helpful!

Hey Viki,
GREAT site and fantastic tip! I love this quote he included by Seth Godin:
Marketing is not about trickery or even insincerity. It's about spreading ideas that you believe in, sharing ideas you're passionate about... and doing it with authenticity. Marketing is about treating prospects and customers with respect, and realizing that it's easier to grow the amount of business you do with happy people than it is to find new strangers to accost.
Great stuff!

Yeah Chris not all marketing people believe that Philosophy. Isn't that the kind of thinking that got Jerry McGuire Fired?
Sorry I'm in a disagreeable mood today. Did this on another thread.

I would inject that getting fired for standing on principle is a relief because that's not the right atmosphere to be in anyway. I get to choose my work, and I have even fired clients on occasion, but I have not always been in that position. Besides, you are in big trouble if you have human resource problems when you're self employed.
