I've an old video game sprite from Commander Keen (anyone know of him?) with is like 20x20 pixels, it's the image as my avatar over there <---. How do I make this 40x40 or a 80x80 without resampling it and making it fuzzy? I want to make it 80x80 but still make it look like it is a 20x20. I want to keep the orginal pixels just double them up and not have photoshop resample and add pixels. I know there has too be an easy way to do this, but it boggles my mind at the moment, and has been bothering ever since I have been making avatars.

edit>preferences, change the interpolation mode to nearest neighbour
(and a brief explaination...the word interpolation roughly means: to add new material, nearest neighbour means that the gaps will be filled in according to the colour value of that pixels nearest neighbour)

I don't know if you are going to be able to do this very effectively if the resolution is not already there, but here are a few links:

For gawd's sake Jim, I'm a print designer, not a game player!

Ghastly nailed it right on the head and now my microscopic pic is a fuller size. Now I can become the greatest jedi ever. I thought I tried nearest neighbor, but I obviously didn't. Thanks morea, I'll have to check some of this links out and Broacher, I've got to have more power!
