We routinely photograph our products in high res (300dpi CMKY) formats. After I check/re-touch them, I always have to save low-res (72 dpi RGB) versions.
In Photoshop...is there a way to automate these to save them from 300 dpi CMYK down to 72 dpi RGB? or is something like this not possible without physically opening each file and re-saving?
Just thought there might be a way for me to save some time here.
Thanks!

Action.. you make an action. you record what you want to do one time and then it saves as a button. then you just hit that button and it does all the steps for you.

you can make an action (with a hotkey) to record the change in colour mode and the change of resolution...the save bit is giving me a headache though cos I tried this a few months back and couldn't get the save as action without specifying a filename and saving it. :( In the help file it says you can but I'm still having trouble

Use the File/Automate/Batch commands to apply a created action to a whole folder of images. It will open/close the files automatically.
You can also do this in Pshop's File Browser (and much, much more). Or, get something like Irfanview, which is free, and will batch process to all kinds of options including downsampling.

Crappit, YNOT, I told my boss what you said, and she just laughed at me. I guess I'm the only one still at work. Oh well, I'll just sit over here and read an ebook while making random clicking sounds with my mouse and typing gibberis occationally. They'll never notice.
